Strategic Plan

Our 2026–2029 Strategic Plan is anchored by four strategic directions:
Cultivating and Supporting the Physician-Researcher Lifecycle, Catalyzing Physician-Led Research, Amplifying Our Impact, and Sustaining Operational Excellence and Building Resilience.

This roadmap is the result of a comprehensive engagement process, shaped by direct insights from 52 individuals across the health ecosystem, including physician-researchers, health system leaders, and PSI’s own dedicated staff, Board, and Committees.

Since 1970, PSI has strived to be a leading force within the medical research sector in Ontario. As we gathered for a strategic planning retreat in late 2022, there was a desire to recognize past successes, but more importantly a realization of the opportunity ahead.

The 2022-2025 Strategic Plan is meant to guide PSI towards the new vision of the organization. We will evolve to better engage with the community, communicate the impact, and integrate diversity and transparency throughout the organization.
